Dan Barchus
Senior Consultant & Partner
Dan's background of commercial diving, heavy lifting operations and supervising windfarm cable pulling tower teams informed his approach to OSH risk management as he transitioned into the role of a safety professional 10 years ago. Investing in his own professional development, he has since achieved Chartered IOSH status, gained an NVQ level 6 in OSH Management and is currently in the final year of a Strategic OSH Management MSc through Middlesex University. Project experience highlights include Hinkley Point C (working for NNB as Emergency Preparedness Lead and later H&S Advisor for the Heat Sink area) and HS2, as the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Manager for C2G South.

JOHN PHILLIPS
Senior Consultant & Partner
John cut his teeth in a regional safety role, managing OSH on the National Grid's electrical national transmission improvement framework. Since then, John headed up the HSE team and provided risk management leadership and support to the delivery leadership team for the principal contractor on the Hinkley Point C project (HPC), as they navigated the first nuclear new build for a generation. Other project highlights include the M27 Smart motorway development program, before progressing to HSE Lead and Director roles within the HS2 project. During this time, John has continued to invest in his own professional career development, notably gaining an MBA, furthering his strategic approach and deepening his understanding of business mechanics.
